Foxtrot uses this pattern for the whole piece:
Small, Small, Long Bow
In this pattern, the “Long Bows” are twice as long as the “Small” bows. You will practice this pattern in class a lot! When you write it out in music, this pattern looks like this:
This piece uses all open strings. When you see a letter, that means to play that open string. If the letter has a dash after it, that means to play a long bow. Can you memorize this song?
